PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING FIRST:
The Performances are on March 29 at 7 and March 30 at 1 and 6pm (that's TWO shows in one day). You MUST BE AVAILABLE THE LAST TWO WEEKS OF THE PRODUCTION, NO EXCUSES, NO LATE ARRIVALS, NO EARLY DISMISSALS. Plan to stay until 6:30 on all nights March 25-28.
Rehearsals will begin before break on *TUESDAY December 18*, Wednesday December 19, Thursday December 20.
Everyone who WANTS TO BE IN THE MUSICAL must come to ONE dance audition & ONE singing audition.
There will be separate days for acting auditions Monday 12/3 and Monday 12/10 - these are optional.
YOU MAY NOT DO BOTH DANCE AND ACTING AUDITIONS ON 12/10. Contact Ms Portsmore if there is an issue.
You may get a "Callback" for either dance,, singing, or a final callback just to be sure:
- Dance Callbacks are Thursday 12/13
- Singing Callbacks are Friday 12/7
- Acting (with possible singing) Final Callbacks: Friday 12/14
A "Callback" is when a few people are asked to come back because a director wants to see more of what you can do. The people we might know very well might not get callbacks, because we already know what they can do. If you do not get a callback, it does not mean that you are not in the show or being considered for a part!
Basketballers: We are willing to be flexible, but you also need to make a commitment to be communicative between us and your coaches. We make a lot of allowances, but sometimes you might have to miss our practice, and come after basketball. Sometimes we will try to grab you before a game (like if the girls/boys whatever opposite team is playing), and sometimes you might have to go to practice late or not at all. It's your call, what you're willing to do. We have no control over the consequences from your coaches (i.e. not starting if you miss a practice) so you will need to figure out your priorities and communicate with your coaches to see if this is possible for you. Again, we are willing to be flexible, but others aren't always so accommodating.
